Who Will the People Choose?

The Nokia Theater will probably just be getting over its New Year’s Eve hangover when the People’s Choice Awards roll into town. The 40th Annual Peoples Choice Awards will be handed out on January 8th, 2014. For the fifth year in a row, Mark Burnett will be the executive producer of the show that effectively kicks off the award show season. He’s joined by his favorite production team of Jane Mun, Fred Nelson and Hyunjoo “Kimmie” Kim.

  •  Despicable Me 2
  • Gravity
  • The Heat

Fans can already vote for this year’s nominees. Each category has ten candidates. The top five choices will be the nominees for the 2014 awards. The candidates are a mix of established standards and newcomers. For instance, voters are going to pare down this list of ten favorite movies to a short list of five.

Celebrate the Grammys® Return to Los Angeles At the Nominations Concert

Mark your calendar. Set your alarm. It’s almost time for the Grammy® Nominations Concert Live, and you know if there’s any awards show that can walk the talk, it’s the Grammys®. Former #Grammy winners and nominees will strut their stuff on Friday December 6, 2013 at Nokia Theater L.A. Live. During the one hour extravaganza, the nominations for the 56th Annual Grammy® Awards will be announced for several categories. The show is back where it belongs, in beautiful Los Angeles, the hub of the film and music industries.

Double-threat rapper and actor LL Cool Jay is hosting the concert. He’s been the host twice before. To him, it’s like falling off a bike. It’s effortless.

Fresh off his new successful release, Drake is primed for his appearance on the big show. After all, his new CD “Nothing was the same” only landed on the Billboard charts at number one. It only sold 658,000 copies in no time flat. Plus, it had crossover appeal from guest appearances by Jay Z, Big Sean, Chainz and Majid Jordan. Drake’s performance is highly anticipated. It’s certain that he’ll leave his fans crazed beyond belief.

How to Get Inside the Golden Globe® Awards with VIP Tickets

The Golden Globes® are one of the most exclusive award shows in Hollywood. The atmosphere is glamorous and understated; the location is the star-infused Beverly Hilton, and the guest list is a true who's who of film and TV. But what makes the Golden Globes® so exclusive is that it has limited seats and unlimited celebrities. Sadly, if you've been wondering how to get Golden Globes® tickets, the outlook isn't great. Even celebrities have a hard time finding seats at this A-list event.

Last year, event organizers announced that the sheer number of ensemble casts in films and television shows forced the team to make some tough decisions. Fortunately, there's at least one solution if you're bent on attending the Golden Globes® this year.

Get an Early Start

Rule number one: if you want to get tickets to the Golden Globes®, start your search early. Tickets to these ultra-exclusive events are snatched up quickly. You're competing with a long list of people who have been waiting for a chance to attend all year. If you really want to go, be competitive.

Rule number two: know where to look. Because Golden Globe® tickets aren't offered to the public or sold by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, start looking for passes at specialty ticket vendors like VIP Concierge. Tickets with access to the main dining room are almost impossible to find, however, there are plenty of viewing parties and peripheral events that you can take part in as a VIP.
